Since she was very young, her heart and passion has been to take care of the needy. To teach them... to give them tools to better their lives.
That is why in 1998 she was thrilled to be on the team from the Los Angeles Mission that planted the City Mission of Las Vegas... to provide a place where people could receive a hot meal, a safe place to rest, a warm blanket, a pair of shoes and a bit of dignity.
Her desire is to walk alongside others who just need a little help to get back on their feet... and hopefully, to help others find her friend Jesus.
She has hugged the hurting through 20 years of working with Rescue Ministries (San Diego Rescue Mission, Orange County Rescue Mission, San Fernando Rescue Mission and the Los Angeles Mission)
She moved furniture, cleaned restrooms, lead Bible Studies, bandaged badly beaten men, driven BIG trucks, held seniors as they cried in loneliness, gratefully thanked the woman who gave $5,000 and got excited with the little child who sold his toys at a yard sale to raise $10 to give to the hungry.
