ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH A LOCAL CHURCH?
|

|
No. We are not affiliated with any local church or denomination. We are an independant faith based Christian organization. As such, we cooporate and partner with churches of all denominations.

DOES THE GOVERNMENT SUPPORT YOUR MISSION?
|
|
|
No. We do not accept government funds of any kind: city, county, state, or federal because of the strings that are often attached to governmnet funds that would inhibit our ability to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our guests.

WHO SUPPORTS YOUR MISSION? WHO SPONSORS YOU?

The City Mission is supported by individuals, businesses and churches and a limited number of foundations.
We not sponsored by any organization. We are a 501(c)3 Christian non-profit organization that is overseen by an independent and volunteer Board of Directors.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?

City Mission of Las Vegas has been serving the needs of the hungry, the homeless and the poor and needy, including seniors and shut-ins since September of 1998.

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

- Holiday hot meal outreach events
- Hot meals and sack lunches for the homeless
- Family Food Boxes for needy families
- Pre cooked meals for shut-ins and home bound seniors
- Hygiene kits, blankets, jackets, and Bags of Hope for the homeless
- Clothing distribution
- Personal counseling
- Bible Studies
- Chapel Services
- Life Skills Workshops
- Work Opportunities
- Job Training
- Family restoration
- Household items from our “Blessingdales” free store
- Work therapy opportunities for the mentally impaired
- Referrals for:
- Residential rehabilitation
- Emergency shelter
- Domestic violence situations

HOW CAN I HELP? DO YOU NEED VOLUNTEERS?

We always need volunteers. Our volunteers help us with:
- Food preparation
- Donation processing
- Family Food Box packing and distribution
- Sort clothing
- Gardening and cleaning
- Food Drives
- Pick-up and deliver
- Advocacy
- Electrical and repairs
- Vehicle maintenance

WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST NEEDS?

- Donated Food (non-perishable and perishable such as eggs and milk)
- Paper Products (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Paper Plates, 8-oz cups)
- Cleaning Supplies (Dish soap, Bleach)
- Hygiene supplies (small containers of Soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste)
- Cargo Van
- Box Truck

WHAT KINDS OF MONETARY DONATIONS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept donations by cash, credit cards, money orders and personal checks.
